Kentucky's governor signs an executive order formalizing his decision to have lawmakers come back for a special session later this month.
Governor Fletcher had ordered the legislature into a special session last week to deal with several issues, but were dismissed shortly after. Kentucky legislators are now on a three-week break from the special session, but are still being paid because the legislature has not officially adjourned.
Legislators have indicated they won't accept the money, but there's a dispute over how they need to go about forfeiting their pay. Meanwhile, Jody Richards has sent a letter to Governor Fletcher and Senate President David Williams.
The letter says the CEO of Peabody Energy has agreed to meet with the three concerning a possible incentive package for a coal to gas facility in Ky.
