Bowling Green's Red Cross is using some creative methods to drum up business at the blood bank. June 23 marked the first ever "Donor Appreciation Day," where those who had donated a certain amount over a period of time got dinner, ice cream, and door prizes.
The Red Cross is experiencing yet another shortage, and a spokesperson says not as many people are donating in today's busy society. If everyone who currently donates would donate one extra time a year, there would never be a shortage.
