A Louisville couple whose teenage daughter had her feet severed on a ride at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom is suing the park.
They also want a judge to order the park not to destroy a cable investigators believe tore off the girl’s feet.
Randall and Monique Lasitter filed the lawsuit on July 12, 2007, on behalf of 13-year-old Kaitlyn Lasitter. She remains hospitalized, in good condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Doctors at Vanderbilt reattached Kaitlyn’s right foot after the June 21, accident but couldn’t save the left foot because of the severity of the injury.
The lawsuit claims the park failed to maintain the equipment and ensure riders’ safety.
