Area residents are finding help with high prescription drug costs.
The "Help Is Here Express" made a stop in Bowling Green. The bus is part of the partnership for prescription assistance and helps people who can't afford their prescription drugs. It gives them a chance to log on and in one sitting, have access to 475 different prescription assistance programs.
It's equipped with laptop computers and applicants are guided through the online process.
"Unfortunately a lot of people do have trouble affording their prescription medications. This program is designed to help low-income, uninsured, and under-insured individuals who have trouble affording their prescription drugs," said Karl Uhlendorf, with the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America.
"The Partnership for Prescription Assistance" has helped four-million Americans, including 85,000 people in Ky. afford their medications.
