The Helping Hands Health Clinic, in Elkton, received a check from Senator Jim Bunning Tuesday morning. The $100,000 is to provide better healthcare services to the disadvantaged, poor, and under-served in rural areas of Kentucky.
Much of the check will go toward operating costs for the clinic. A portion of the money will go toward purchasing blood sugar monitors and testing strips for diabetic patients. Clinic officials are also planning to upgrade their computer systems with the donation.
