Each of the tents must have a visible No Smoking sign, a fire extinguisher, and the tent must be flame retardent.

The tents have to be randomly checked by fire department officials to make sure they are not selling any fireworks that are illegal in Kentucky. Basically, the legal fireworks do not shoot into the air and they are not supposed to make a loud noise.

Fire officials say its a problem when people travel to Tennessee and buy fireworks because some fireworks that are legal in Tennessee are not legal in Kentucky.
