Governor Ernie Fletcher had his first opportunity to put his stamp on the Universities around the state by filling 21 vacancies on their boards.
Among those appointed was Judi Hughes of Bowling Green. Hughes is president of Hughes Homes Inc. and says this appointment is a dream come true. She hopes to see Western continue to grow and become a more prominent university in the state.
Also appointed to the board was Louisville attorney Larry Zielke. They will be sworn in at the end of this month at the board of regents meeting.
