A high-speed pursuit ends in a crash and lands two men in jail.
It happened Thursday afternoon in Bowling Green after a drug investigation turned into a chase for the suspects.
It also quickly became a frightening situation for some innocent bystanders.
"It was pretty scary, pretty scary," said Smiths Grove resident Nora Dawes.
It's not how Nora Dawes wanted to end a day of work.
"I'm glad no one got hurt, especially an innocent person," Dawes said.
She was pumping gas at a Junior Food when she saw a green Ford Ranger run the red light at the corner of 10th Avenue and the 31-W Bypass, then slam into a car.
"Then the driver of the green truck got out and ran and the passenger of the green truck squeezed out of the side and threw his hands up," Dawes said. "The officer got up on him and then he started to run toward me. Then the officer pulled the gun on him and he laid down. Then I went into the store because I was scared at that point."
The driver, 33-year-old Michael Burgett, and his passenger, 31-year-old Robert Cherry, were arrested and charged with fleeing police and trafficking meth.
Authorities say the two had been under surveillance following a drug transaction earlier Thursday afternoon.
"I really felt like I was in a movie," said Tori Evans, who witnessed the incident.
Tori Evans says she left her office only to walk to the Junior Food for a drink, when she came within feet of being hit by the suspects.
"Luckily I heard a siren, and turned and saw the green truck flying through the intersection," she said.
It's a situation that could've been a lot worse for Evans and one she says she won't forget.
"It was definitely a scary experience."
Additional charges for both men are expected when the case is presented to a grand jury.
We're told the driver of the car that was hit, as well as the driver of a van that hit Burgett's truck are okay.
