Spirits in the Cave Sells Out

The sixth-annual "Spirits in the Cave" was a sold-out event.

The fundraiser for "Big Brothers/Big Sisters" was held at Lost River Cave on July 26, 2007. It featured a food show of twelve local restaurants, as well as soft drink, wine and beer tasting.

Those attending also took part in a silent auction and listened to live music from "Exit Four."

Big Brother Mentor, Brett Reynolds, said this event is crucial for the organization.

"Non-profits have to use fundraisers to survive and we've come up with a unique one. I think people really like to come down here and I think it's a great event. It's grown every year, and it's gotten better every year," Reynolds said.

"Big Brothers/Big Sisters" is a non-profit organization that specializes in matching caring volunteers in one-to-one mentoring relationships with children in need of extra attention and guidance.

This is one of the organization's biggest fundraisers.
