Organizers predict that 250 people will gather in Frankfort on July 30, 2007, to oppose domestic partner benefits in Kentucky's public universities and agencies.
The "Rally to Protect Marriage" is going to be conducted in the Capitol Rotunda.
The intention of the rally is to encourage the legislature to take up a Senate bill proposed earlier in July.
The bill is in reaction to domestic partner benefits that went into effect at the University of Louisville on Jan. 1 and at the University of Kentucky on July 1.
The bill would limit access to state-sponsored health insurance to employees and their family members in legal marriage.
Kentucky's Constitution limits a legal marriage to that between a man and a woman.
