In Ohio, authorities are investigating what caused a stunt pilot to crash his plane during an air show on July 28, 2007 .
Officials say award-winning stunt pilot and Marine veteran Jim Leroy was doing a loop-to-loop trick at Dayton International Airport when his biplane went down.
As thousands watched, the plane slammed into the runway, slid about 300-yards and burst into flames.
The tragedy comes just a day after a fiery scene at an air show in Osh-Kosh, Wis.
Two single-engine World War II planes collided, killing one pilot and injuring the other.
