Each year the Justice Department estimates that more than one hundred children are kidnapped and murdered. Statistics show that many of those victims are killed within three hours of being taken. That's why the Amber Alert program is working to spread the message even quicker now.

At the Bowling Green Police Department they already use the internet to help find abducted children. But soon the entire state could also be using more technology. A new program will be introduced all over the country allowing police officers to send Amber Alerts through cell phones, Email, and handheld computers. Although Bowling Green already has something similar officers say they always welcome more technology that could bring an abducted child home.
