Governor Fletcher's initiative to bring Kentucky state government into the digital age seems to be working.
Kentucky has climbed from 44th in 2002 to fourth in the annual e-Government Analysis, published by researchers at Brown University.
The study praised Kentucky's website, Kentucky.gov for presenting clear, organized and consistent web pages.
Governor Fletcher launched the prescription for innovation in 2004.
The purpose was to bring about an aggressive technology turnaround for the commonwealth.
Delaware, Michigan and Maine were ranked ahead of Kentucky.
