The L & N Depot will open its Historic Rail-Car and Train Museum soon and it needs your help.
The museum needs your photographs, newspaper articles and any other memorabilia you may have from the depot.
Several people have already shared their interesting stories, which help paint the picture of what the depot once was.
"The best way to do that is to take photographs from peoples' lives, stories and families that were affected by the railroad and celebrating them here by making copies of them and putting them in the gallery," explained Dorian Walker, with the Museum Design Committee.
Volunteers at the museum will collect your memorabilia this on Aug. 3, 2007, from 2-3 p.m. and Aug. 4, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
You can donate your items or have them scanned and returned to you.
The L & N Depot's Historic Rail-Car and Train Museum plans to open Labor Day weekend.
