FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- A key lawmaker says the odds are against a bill to allow Kentucky race tracks to operate a new electronic game based on old horse races.
Sen. Damon Thayer said Friday support for his proposal has evaporated among Senate Republicans since Senate President David Williams signaled his opposition to the measure.
The bill is stalled in a Senate committee that Thayer leads as chairman. Thayer said there are "very few" Senate Republicans supporting the measure.
The legislation is House Bill 368.
