When it comes to filling prescriptions a new study says Kentuckians are outspending our fellow Americans. A new shows that Kentucky ranks third in the nation in the amount of money spent and use of prescription drugs. The study also shows that the number of Kentuckians without health insurance has gone up by at least 28 percent in the past two years.
Reasons for the high ranking could be the fact that Kentucky is the tobacco state leading the nation in smoking. In the survey Kentucky ranked behind only Tennessee and West Virginia.
