Man Wants to Use "Mental" Defense in Murder Case
An Oklahoma man wants to use a "mental" defense in the kidnapping and killing of a 29-year-old Bowling Green woman.

An Oklahoma man wants to use a "mental" defense in the kidnapping and killing of a 29-year-old Bowling Green woman .

Lawrence Robert Stinnett is accused of killing 29-year-old Christina Marie Renshaw, Feb. 3 of 2006.

In Warren Circuit Court on Aug. 6, 2007, Stinnett's attorney filed a notice of intent to plead "not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect."

The Commonwealth then asked for Stinnett's murder trial to be reset to May 6 of 2008, to allow them to perform a psychological evaluation of the defendant.

Stinnett's alleged accomplice, Alanda Latonia Lewis, had her case continued to be set with his.
