The Cabinet for Health Services reports more probable cases of West Nile virus in Kentuckians, one case being a 69-year-old woman in Barren County.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed two cases of the virus, a Union County man who died, and a 45-year-old Jefferson County woman.

Meanwhile, there are four probable cases of West Nile in our state. These are cases in which state lab results indicate the presence of the virus, but there has not been confirmation by the CDC.

The Barren County woman is in critical condition.
