Between finding a job or getting ready for college, entering the real world can be a scary thought for many high school seniors. A new program by the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce is designed to help recognize students who are making strides to show they are ready.
The Chamber is sponsoring a new program called the Work Ethic Seal Program. Seniors who choose to enroll in the program can earn a seal by meeting certain standards like strong attendance, good grades, and involvement in after school activities. Students who are successful are eligible for scholarships and can use the seal as a resume builder among chamber partners.
This is the first year for the program. The chamber decided to start it, once they surveyed local businesses who said they were concerned about the work ethic among high school seniors entering the real world.
