Special Session to Re-Convene?

Legislators are waiting on word from the governor on whether or not they’ll re-convene for a special session on Aug. 13, 2007.

Ernie Fletcher has the exclusive authority to call lawmakers back into action, but has yet to do so.

At issue is an energy bill that some key lawmakers are optimistic will pass.

On July 25, Peabody Energy assured Kentucky legislators they’re serious about considering Kentucky for the $3 billion coal to natural gas plant, if lawmakers agree on new incentives.
