Recycling is a benevolent thing, benefiting society by re-using materials that would otherwise be considered waste.
But even these good samaritans get robbed in the Aug. 8 edition of "Crime Stoppers."
Police are still searching for whoever stole cash from Southern Recycling back in October of 2006 in the "Crime of the Week."
At around 10:45 p.m. on Oct. 9, Bowling Green Police responded to a burglar alarm at Southern Recycling on Clay St.
Officers discovered a burglar, or burglars, had forced their way into the office.
Desk drawers and filing cabinets had been rummaged through and two bank bags of cash were stolen.
One of them was from American Bank and Trust.
A heavy piece of iron and a pair of bolt cutters were left at the scene.
If you know anything about this theft from Southern Recycling.
