Kentucky's candidates for governor are promoting their plans for health care in the Commonwealth.
Governor Fletcher wants to cut the number of uninsured Kentuckians by half, without raising taxes in his second term and to help every child obtain health care coverage.
Democratic gubernatorial nominee Steve Beshear is proposing a health care plan he claims would expand insurance coverage and curb health costs for Kentuckians.
The plan would be funded in part by casino gambling.
Beshear said he wants to extend health coverage to thousands of uninsured children through Medicaid and the Kentucky Children's Health Insurance Program.
