State Awards $93,000 For Bridge

The state of Kentucky is awarding nearly $93,000 to Butler County to rebuild a bridge

The bridge on Region-Reedyville Rd. just off Highway 185 was washed out by previous flooding.

Residents in the area used tractors and graders to build a ford across the water, but now they'll get a new bridge.

Butler County Judge-Executive David Fields said the bridge will cost $116,000 of which the state will pay nearly $93,000.

Fields said bids for the bridge will be opened Sept. 10 and construction should take about a month.
