Elementary School Puts On An "Energy Carnival"

Richardsville Elementary began its conservation education early by having an "Energy Carnival."

It taught students about the importance of conserving energy, as well as how energy works.

But the unique thing about the event, is that the ones teaching about energy... were the students themselves.

Some students are even forming their own opinions on the world's use of energy.

"I don't like how we have all this energy and we're using up all this energy when we could use it on other stuff," says 5th grader Hayley Stillwell.

Students also took part in games and demonstrations during the event.

For every correct answer, they were given "energy bucks" to cash-in with their teachers.
