Another accident at the Crandall Canyon Mine has left three of the rescue miners dead and another six are said to be injured.
Earlier, the Mine Safety and Health Administration said that ten workers had been injured.
Spokesman Dirk Fillpot said it's believed the accident was caused by a "bump."
A bump commonly refers to pressure inside the mine that shoots coal from the walls with great force.
The accident happened at about 6:30 p.m Mountain time.
