A South-Central Kentucky preacher who pleaded guilty to possessing and distributing child pornography was sentenced to nine years in prison on Aug. 16.
In October of 2006, 52-year-old David Meadows was indicted for possessing and distributing child pornography between April and October of 2006.
He pleaded guilty to the charge this past March.
Meadows was the minister of Park City United Methodist Church while he was involved with child pornography.
More than a dozen people appeared in support of Meadows in federal court on Aug. 16.
They heard Judge Joseph H. McKinley sentence Meadows to nine years in prison, nearly two years less than the shortest sentence the federal guidelines suggested.
