Local Red Cross Members to Assist Oklahoma Residents

The remnants of Tropical Storm Erin continue to cause problems in Oklahoma.

Two people have drowned and three women are missing after heavy rains and high winds moved through the state.

The remnants of Erin flooded homes and roads and power was knocked out for thousands of residents.

The American Red Cross is being sent in to help.

1900 people from the Red Cross Disaster Action Team are heading into the area including some from our local chapter.

Two groups are scheduled to leave this week.

Their primary responsibility will be helping with food and shelter.
