A proposed new 124-aCre development along Old Scottsville Road has area residents upset about the new subdivision's design.
More than 70 residents of Stone Bluff, located across the road from the proposed new neighborhood, signed a petition asking the Warren County Fiscal Court to reconsider the requirements set forth by the Planning & Zoning Commission.
Lone Oak, the new neighborhood, could sell 1-acre lot plots under the rules recommended by the Commission, but Stone Bluff residents say they would like that minimum lot size raised to 3 acres.
Stone Bluff neighbors also told the Fiscal Court that Planning & Zoning staff were misinformed about the size and scope of their community, and plan to file a notice of opposition with the Court. Planning & Zoning officials refused further comment on the issue.
The Fiscal Court passed a 1st reading of the rezoning issue, but could grant a partial or full hearing on the matter before voting again on August 20th.
