A heatwave has killed at least 44 people in the Southeast and Midwest U.S. including 13 people in Tennessee.
Of those, 12 happened in Memphis, where temperatures have broken 100-degrees for more than a week.
Meanwhile, the Shelby County Mayor's Office did what it could to protect residents from the dangerous heat.
Volunteers spent the weekend delivering free fans to the elderly and several cooling centers were set up.
