Woman Arrested For Stealing Electricity Says She's Innocent

A Pulaski County woman accused of stealing electricity says police arrested the wrong person.

Jessica Moore is charged with using a stolen meter box to take nearly $1,000 worth of power from South Kentucky RECC.

The arrest warrant says Moore illegally hooked up the box to get power on May 24, but Moore maintains she's innocent.

"I don't know what there is to say except there's no way. I was not there. They can print anything. They can take every camera from the neighborhood and try to find something. They're not going to find anything on me. I was not there and had nothing do with it," Moore explained.

Moore remains in the Pulaski County Jail on ten percent of a $5,000 bond.

She'll answer to the charges in court on Aug. 23.
