Kentucky ranks seventh in the nation in a new study on obesity.
The rankings were complied by the Trust For America's Health.
Kentucky is listed with more than 27-percent of the adult population considered to be obese.
Mississippi ranks first at almost 31-percent.
The slimmest state is Colorado at about 18-percent.
Health officials say the latest state ranking provide evidence that the nation has a public health crisis on its hands.
