A morning crash on Interstate 65 leaves one dead and two more injured.
A little after 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 1, a Chevy Tahoe traveling southbound, lost control at Mile Marker 49 in Barren County after the travel trailer it was towing began to sway.
It caused the Tahoe to spin taking it off the left shoulder where it hit a rock wall embankment and overturned.
"They were trapped in the seats with the seatbelts. We couldn't get the seatbelts out. Just the wreckage itself had the people pinned in. It wasn't until the paramedics arrived with the jaws of life that they could get them out," motorist Marty Thomason said.
The driver, David Lake of Elizabethtown, was taken to T.J. Samson Hospital for minor injuries.
His wife Mary Lake was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Family member Amy McCoy was flown to the University of Louisville Hospital and 10-year-old Austin McCoy was flown to Kosair Children's Hospital.
