The resignation from Senator Craig has Republican leaders speaking out.
On Sept. 1, U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell issued a statement saying quote, "Craig's decision was difficult but correct."
Some Republicans are saying there wasn't a double standard in pushing Senator Craig to resign while remaining quiet over Senator David Vitter's involvement with an escort service.
On Sept. 2, Senator John Ensign said that's because Vitter was never charged and didn't admit guilt, while Senator Craig did.
Meanwhile, Republican Senator Arlen Specter said he'd like to see Craig fight his case because he thinks he's been vindicated.
