Hurricane Felix Jumps To Category 5

Hurricane Felix is rapidly gaining strength over the Caribbean.

The National Hurricane Center says it is now a Category 5 storm with top winds near 140 MPH.

It's expected to gain strength even more on its trek across the Caribbean toward Central America midweek.

The storm lashed Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire with rains and heavy winds, causing scattered power outages and flooding some homes. .

A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for Jamaica and Grand Cayman.
