Tenn. Plane Crash Leaves Five Ministers Dead

A Tennessee plane crash leaves five ministers dead.

On Sept. 2, authorities discovered the bodies of five Jehovah's Witness near Elizabethton.

They were on board a small plane that crashed in the Cherokee National Forest on Holston Mountain shortly after takeoff.

The single-engine plane crashed around 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 1.

The Carter County sheriff said the five bodies have been recovered.

He said one of the ministers was believed to be the pilot.

The names of the ministers have not been released.
