At least two students at Franklin-Simpson High School face expulsion charges after bringing a gun onto school property.
Tuesday afternoon, Franklin police responded to a call of a gun in a car in the parking lot. Upon arrival, they searched the car, finding a semi-automatic weapon underneath the rear seat.
The department is still investigating the incident. An arrest has yet to be made. Charges of possession of a gun on school property, possession of a gun by a minor, and concealing a weapon are likely to be filed Thursday.
Police say the students made no threats and the gun was never fired.
