Kentucky's gubernatorial candidates are hot on the campaign trial.
In a Sept. 5 press conference, Democrat Steve Beshear outlined his plan to restore government integrity.
Beshear blasted Governor Fletcher for what he considers ethical lapses.
He said the state's first Republican governor in more than 30 years broke the promise he made to "clean up the mess in Frankfort."
Fletcher was indicted by a special grand jury in 2006 and the charges were later dismissed.
Fletcher's campaign manager responded by reasserting claims that the investigation was a political witch hunt.
