Five days before former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich's arrest he and long-time friend Lon Monk met at the ex-governor's campaign office.

The office had been bugged by the FBI.

Monk is concerned and has testified that he wants to bring in a promised 100,000 dollar campaign contribution from racetrack owner John Johnston but doesn't want it to appear like the money is linked to racetrack legislation that Blagojevich is waiting to sign.

So the two men rehearsed.

Blagojevich does not directly say that his signature on the bill is conditioned on first getting the campaign contribution. And on other tapes, he's recorded saying he'll sign the bill.
