Choosing and installing a car seat or booster seat can be a confusing process.
That's why some area parents received some instruction on Friday thanks to the Kentucky Child Passenger Safety Team.
Members of the team checked seats for recalls and misuse.
They also walked parents through the installation process because they want parents to be able to install the seats on their own.
Some important things you need to know when installing a child safety seat are to read the instructions that come with the seat and read your vehicle's owner's manual.
The seat also needs to be tight enough that it moves less than an inch from side-to-side and front to back.
