Kentucky's gubernatorial candidates both pledge to continue the war on drugs.
Governor Ernie Fletcher and his Democratic challenger Steve Beshear say they have strategies to help Kentucky communities hit hard by illegal drugs.
Both are promising to continue the war on drugs if they win the November 6 election.
In the last four years, the governor has set up a state agency specifically to tackle the problem and funded ten treatment centers for addicts.
Beshear says drug abuse still remains a major problem in the state and says he wants to expand drug treatment, detoxification and education.
