Several new positions have been created under Chamber president, Jim Hizer's leadership. They include Tonya Matthews being promoted to Vice President of Chamber Operations. Dana Matukas has been promoted to Partnership Development Director. And Melanie Kington has been promoted to program coordinator.

WBKO had a chance to talk to Matthews about her promotion. She says, "As Vice President of Chamber Operations, I'll be overseeing all the day to day responsibilities of the Chamber of Commerce, the activities of our members, and just really making sure that our strategic plan is enforced."

Chamber President, Jim Hizer, says he is hoping to build a team that can bring Bowling Green more economic opportunities in the future. He says, "What we're really doing right now is we're in the middle of re-structuring in an effort to meet the needs of the ITA, because we recently established an agreement with the ITA. And with regard to community, the community of south central Kentucky and their economic needs."

Chamber officials say it will take three to four months to complete the re-structuring.
