Scams involving sweepstakes and lotteries are increasing in Kentucky.

Scams involving sweepstakes and lotteries are increasing in Kentucky.
Attorney General Jack Conway says his office has received several calls from people who have either been notified that they won a prize, or have wired money and are now victims of a scam.
He says one victim reported losing nearly $10 thousand to what appeared to be a sweepstakes company.
Conway says Kentucky residents should disregard calls or notices from sweepstakes or lottery companies asking for upfront money.
