Youngsters may soon develop a life-long love for the classic Corvette after spending a week at "Vette Camp."
Nearly 30 kids, ages 6-to-11, have been introduced to the world of automotives through tours of both the Corvette museum and the Bowling Green Assembly Plant.
In addition, campers have been able to make drivers licenses, as well as learn the importance of safe driving.
National Corvette Museum employee, Stephanie Morrill says the camp is something that will benefit the youth of the whole area.
"We've looked around at several different models of camps that are very successful in our community, and what some other automobile museums are doing in their communities and brought that in-house."
The camp concludes Friday, with a "finish-line" graduation ceremony for its participants.
This is the first year for "Vette Camp".
But Morrill says it will become an annual event, held the last week of July.
