State officials are looking for private businesses to help redevelop Lake Malone State Park.
State Senator Joey Pendleton said the state park needs help with its redevelopment.
J.T. Miller, the Department of Parks commissioner, says the park currently has a campground, but has not had other available lodging since an inn burned down a few years ago.
Earlier this year, state officials began soliciting private companies to develop and operate a marina and cottages there.
Miller said officials have sent out a second round of requests for bids on the project which would be built on 30 acres near the lake's dam.
They're expecting bids on the project to be back early in October.
