A contract to conduct a dive inspections and a hydrographic survey in the Green River near the Rochester Dam was awarded in August of 2009. But due to high water levels in the Green River and unsafe conditions, the survey had to be delayed.

However, at this time the precipitation and river flow forecasts are
favorable for the study to resume. The Corps anticipates safe water levels at the site the next week.

The dive inspections and hydrographic surveys at Green River Lock and Dam #3 "Rochester Dam," will likely be performed Aug. 2 through 5 barring any unforeseen rise in the river flow.

The contractor, Stantec, will have dive crew and surveyors on site to
perform the work. This will entail support boats and land-based support with a crew.

Approximate milestones for completion of work are:

* Preliminary Findings and Analysis Methods - Complete
* Updated Preliminary Findings and Analysis Methods - Summer 2010
* Stability Analyses & Preliminary Design Alternatives - Fall 2010
* Final Report with Proposed Alternative and Cost Estimate - Winter
2011
