UPDATE: AMBERalert Cancelled For Tennessee Infant

(Gallatin, TN) - A Middle Tennessee AMBER Alert was issued by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for the Gallatin Police Department for 2 month-old Eric Goolsby. Eric that was last seen with Eric Owens at approximately 9:00 p.m. Tuesday night in Gallatin, Tennessee.

Officers with TBI say the child was safely returned to authorities Wednesday morning by the suspect Eric Owens but did not specify if any charges would be brought against Owens.

The grandmother, who had been granted temporary custody of the infant told police Owens and another man entered her home and abducted the baby while she was away.

Warrants were issued of especially aggravated kidnapping and custodial interference for Owens and the child's mother, 24-year-old Chasity Goolsby. According to Gallatin Police, Goolsby lost custody of the child because of a prior drug addiction problem and outstanding warrants for prostitution, theft of property and possession of a controlled substance.

Earlier reports said Owens was either in the Nashville area or en route to family in Kentucky.
