After Extreme Neglect, Griff Continues to Recover

"We have raised almost $7,000 to date, which is an amazing thing because there are so many animals that we get that need a lot of  help that never get any face time," said Lorri Hare, Humane Society Executive Director.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky (WBKO) -- The community continues to donate money to the Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society's sick and injured fund.

Last week, we brought you the story of “Griff”, a Great Pyrenees miracle dog, who survived multiple gun shot wounds.

Nearly a week later, “Griff” is now in stable condition in his temporary foster home.

After he was rescued, the Humane Society needed $600 for his medical expenses. This amount was quickly exceeded.

"We have raised almost $7,000 to date, which is an amazing thing because there are so many animals that we get that need a lot of help that never get any face time," said Lorri Hare, Humane Society Executive Director.

The majority of the money has been donated through www.gofundme.com.

The Humane Society says, while “Griff” was a great face to put with the cause, they can always use donations.
