Fourth graders from Warren and Allen County came together Thursday morning to learn about all around safety. The 18th annual WKU Agricultural Safety Day put the students in many different scenarios to explain the proper way to safely react. The event at the WKU Ag Expo Center may have had many outdoor aspects but it wasn't just about farm safety.
"Although it's called agricultural safety day, it's about home safety, it's about chemical safety or all the other things you might experience. Even if a kid is not on a farm, they may visit a farm." said Donita Lashley of south central AHEC.
Demonstrators from Warren RECC explained electrical safety to the fourth graders by giving tips for lightning safety and by using an electrical current to pop popcorn.
