All Businesses On The Square Hope To Take Advantage Of Idol

Updated: Wed 6:37 PM, Aug 15, 2012

With all the traffic expected near Fountain Square Friday some non-traditional businesses are taking advantage.

Renaissance Hair Design has received calls from clients concerned about traffic, but say they have open parking spaces behind their shop.

They'll stay open all day Friday, serving their regular clients' hair needs, and catering to American Idol contestants.

"They are going to bring us t-shirts tomorrow, Thursday, so we can wear our t-shirts, we are going to wear our t-shirts. We are going to paint on the window, we are going to have bottled water and cokes for all the contestants and stuff," says Libby Brown.

The salon says despite not being a food or drink merchant they were excited to learn of idol's stop in Bowling Green.
