UPDATED>>>Alleged Shoplifter Runs Over Bowling Green Policeman

Around 9 p.m. police say what started as a call about two shoplifters at Greenwood Mall, left one officer injured.

While the female suspect fled on foot, Troy Tyson fled the mall in his car, backed into officer, Brad Hogue, running over his leg, and continued to flee.

"The suspect continued onto Scottsville Road where they had a collision just in front of the Kroger on Scottsville Road. He hit a couple of cars, we then realized they hit a couple of cars too leaving the parking lot of the mall. The suspects vehicle was disabled and the suspect exited the vehicle and ran on foot where officers located him behind Shoe Carnival,"says Officer Ronnie Ward.

The female suspect was found at Taco Bell and taken into custody.

Police arrested Troy D. Tyson, 21, of Nashville, Tennessee, for Assault 2nd degree on a Police Officer, Fleeing or evading police 1st degree (motor vehicle), Leaving the scene of an accident and Wanton endangerment 1st degree on a Police Officer.

Mr. Tyson was also arrested on four warrants out of Tennessee.

Tysheka L. Davis, 21, of Nashville, Tennessee, for Felony theft by unlawful taking - shoplifting.

Officer Hogue was treated for minor injuries and released.

A pregnant female was injured in the collision, but her condition is unknown.
